The fire station, with its front, gates, and tower, faces Dobrovského Street. The purpose of the building is clear to passersby, as the fire-fighting equipment is visible behind the glazed entrance gates. To ensure a clear exit for the fire trucks, the building recedes from the street line. This setback, compared to the surrounding buildings, signals the importance of the structure, which is further emphasized by the color scheme of the building and the 13-meter-high fire tower.
The fire station is divided into two interconnected parts on the ground floor by a terrace. The first part houses the garage hall, while the second contains the rest of the functional spaces. By breaking the building into smaller volumes, it adapts to the scale of its surroundings. The terrace complements the social and club room and offers a view into the garage, where the fire trucks are parked. The connection between Dobrovského Street and Hradební Street is adapted to the terrain's topography, with the elevation difference being leveled by a staircase.
